Chairman's Letter - June 2007
Mima Hiller - Outgoing Chairman

Mima Hiller, Outgoing Chairman

Dear Members,

It is my pleasure to introduce to you the new version of the ARP newsletter – Point-2-Point. The newsletter is there to provide the members with current information about legislative changes, inside information about the relocation industry, views from our members, and new regular features. If you have anything you would like to contribute, please email Dom Tidey.  As always, the editorial team Dom Tidey and Stuart Mitchell have done a fantastic job with re-branding and editing the newsletter.

As it is time for me to step down as the chairman, I would like to thank the council, the members and the office –Tad, Dom, Linda and Jenny for all the support I have received during the last 2.5 years as the chairman of the ARP. To manage change is always a challenge but it has come with rewards; increased membership, well attended training programmes which have supported the professionalism we are here to promote, increasing interest from the press and other professional bodies, the launching of ASAP to mention a few have all moved ARP forward,  from its early days 20 years ago, which we celebrated in London last November, to become the professional body of the industry.

I also wish all the success for Barry Potter, the new chairman and Edna Smith, the vice chairman. Their professionalism, enthusiasm and experience within the relocation industry together with the dedicated council will take ARP forward and raise the visibility in the UK market, not just among the relocation industry, but also within the HR profession and amongst other national and international bodies to whom relocation is a vital service.
